Dervishes are specially trained, highly fanatical desert mystics who require no conventional channels to hear their deities words. They achieve a state of combat ecstasy through euphoric dancing, meditative trances, and other exotic means. Their fighting style is a whirling blur of blades that has no equal in its beauty or effectiveness. Nevertheless, the ascetic life of a dervish is a powerful deterrent to many would-be followers.
