Races

The term "race" is not meant in a traditional sense, but is instead closer to the word "species". Your race will determine what your character is (like you, the player, are a human most-likely). Retromud has a large list of races for you to chose from. Each race is different than any others, and offers its own array of benefits/disadvantages. Choosing a race is fairly simple, depending on what type of character you expect to play. Certain races are more suitable to magical guilds while others are most suitable to melee. Many of our races can be proficient at both, while others would be rendered nearly useless. If you have already decided on a guild to play, than you must choose from our list of races a little more wisely. However, if you are first selecting a race you wish to play, then you will need to choose from our list of guilds more selectively.
