Description:
A 'poison pill' is an amendment made to a contract so as to make it completely unpalatable. This ensures a lose-lose outcome for the parties involved in negotiations. While this might not seem to be the best outcome members of the Merchant Council believe that if you are going to lose no matter what you do then their secondary goal is to inflict as much damage as possilble on the other party. This spell gives the target the sense of winning, albeit in a somewhat Phyrric Victory. The paradox of winning at the cost of accepting the poison pill amendment causes grave disturbance in their psyche.
