Description:
The peak of a necromancer's power over the Phantom Shard is the ability to link their lifeforce to another living being. A necromancer can use this to direct energy which they collect. While this ability can earn a necromancer many friends, it is also possible to link to one's own lifeforce - giving a necromancer full control over the energy which they collect.
