Description: The kreen are four-armed, humanoid praying mantises. Although their culture is advanced and they are possessed of a mild demeanor, kreen are capable of terrifying acts of violence against their enemies, biting off the heads of their foes and ripping their corpses limb from limb. Because of these practices, most kreen are considered to have a depraved indifference to humanoid life. Nevertheless, the kreen, in conjunction with a few renegade Kanku, constitute civilization in the Meritoson Desert.
