The primary duty of a Valkyrie is the ferrying of souls back to their master. Such a service is generally reserved for those who have fallen, but some souls (those of Gifted Ones) are unable to pass on after death to experience an afterlife. Out of mercy for such beings, the Valkyries can offer this power, ferrying living Gifted Ones, not back to Armagg-Odhin in the purer sense, but to the closest equivalent destination within their mortal reach.
