There are three full wishes that can allow someone to play guild combinations that would normally not be allowed by the game. The Join Restricted Guild wish will allow a player to join a guild that is normally not joinable by members of their primary guild. It will not allow someone to join an expressly forbidden guild, and it will not allow someone to join a standard 9-level tertiary guild. This wish may be taken multiple times. The Max Secondary wish will allow a player to advance to level 20 in a guild they could reach 14 in. Having a max secondary (dprime) does not alter a player's list of joinable guilds. Only the first (true) prime affects guild choices. This includes monk's access to martial art terts. This wish may be taken only once. The Max Tertiary wish will allow a player to advance to level 14 in one of their tertiary guilds. Note that for purposes of this wish, tertiary guilds are defined as all guilds that a player has joined other than their primary guild or their secondary guild. Being a full member of a second 14-level secondary guild does allow a player to join tertiary guilds that are pathed from either their true secondary or their max tertiary (dsec). This wish may be taken only once. EXAMPLE 1: Syndhorn is a prime Mage whose secondary is Electromancer, and he has joined several tertiary guilds that Mage/Electromancers are allowed to join. For his next open adventuring level, he wants to spend PE on a Join Restricted Guild wish so that he can join the Wanderer guild. This is NOT ALLOWED since Wanderer is a 9-level tert. EXAMPLE 2: Sera is a level 66 prime Mage who has just reincarnated. To fill her open adventuring levels, she first chooses to take 14 levels of Geomancer and then joins the Geowizard guild. Next, she decides to join the Telemancer secondary guild, and she takes the Max Tertiary wish to enable her to advance in it past guild level 9 to the full 14 levels. Since she is now a full Telemancer, she is able to join the tertiary guilds that all full Telemancers are allowed to join, so she spends her final 9 open levels becoming a full Wanderer. One Wish: Mage(20)/Geomancer(14)/Telemancer(14)/Geowizard(9)/Wanderer(9) EXAMPLE 3: Peroneous wants to dprime Abjurer and Psionicist. As a guild level 20 Abjurer, he joins the Psionicist guild and advances in it to guild level 14. He then takes the Max Secondary wish and advances to the full 20 levels. Next, he joins the Herbalist guild and takes the Max Tertiary wish before advancing to guild level 14. He can now join the various tertiary guilds allowed by Herbalist and Abjurer. Two Wishes: Abjurer(20)/Psionicist(20)/Herbalist(14)/Feng Tzu(9)/Feng Wu(9) EXAMPLE 4: Urlin is a prime Mage who wants to dprime Abjurer. As a full mage, he takes the Join Restricted Guild wish in order to join the Abjurer guild. Then, after advancing it to guild level 14, he takes the Max Secondary wish in order to complete it to 20th level. He wants to join Herbalist, but finds that this is NOT ALLOWED since Abjurer is technically his secondary guild, and his guild choices are limited to those of a Mage, his true prime guild. He considers using another Join Restricted Guild wish to bypass this problem, but decides to join Pyromancer instead. A Max Tertiary wish allows him to advance Pyromancer to 14, and he joins pyro terts from there. Three Wishes: Mage(20)/Abjurer(20)/Pyromancer(14)/Pyrowizard(9)/Pyromage(9) EXAMPLE 5: Drake is a full Merchant who decides to join the Illusionist guild. After taking 14 levels of Illusionist, he decides that it might be useful to dprime Bard. He joins the bard guild and advances to guild level 9. Taking a Max Tertiary wish allows him to advance to level 14 Bard and taking a Max Secondary wish allows him to advance to level 20 Bard. He may still only join guilds listed as valid choices for Merchant and Illusionist. Two Wishes: Merchant(20)/Illusionist(14)/Bard(20)/Prestidigitator(9)/Mountebank(9) See Also: Full Wishes, Primary Guild, Secondary Guild, Tertiary Guild, dprime, dsec |
