Each night, Armagg-Odhin destroys the universe, and everything in it. Little can withstand His power, and stray items lying about stand no chance. To protect items that you may want to keep from day to day, you'll need to arrange for proper storage. Not all items can be stored however, most things that you probably want to can be. There's two places that are safe - in castles, and in rentrooms. Castle rooms also have immunity to items that may disappear over time when there are no players present. Crates are available for rent, in the rent rooms found in many cities. Rental costs are daily or weekly, although you may spend primal energy in lieu of cash [HELP PRIMAL ENERGY]. You can keep multiple items in a crate, but each rentroom has its own limit. Crates are not vulnerable to theft, but are very much vulnerable to forgetfulness and error. Chests are created by merchants, usually for a fee [HELP SPELL CREATE CHEST], and are kept in castle rooms [HELP CASTLE]. Other guilds may create chest-like items, such as wand racks, which are stored similarly. The number of items a chest can store varies with the type of chest, and some may only hold specific types of items. The most common type of chest is the strongbox, which can store four items. Chests may be taken from you. They can be stolen by monsters in the thief event (HELP EVENTS). If your castle degrades in condition, it can collapse, destroying its contents.
