Disadvantages

DISADVANTAGES:

Half Experience if Good/Evil:

	This disadvantage requires the player to maintain a 
certain alignment.  Depending on what is dictated, the player 
must keep their alignment within the proscribed range or suffer 
an experience penalty of 50% their normal ratio.

Hurt by Sunlight:

	Certain races suffer damage to their being when exposed 
to sunlight for more than a short duration.  if the player is 
low on hit points, or the duration is prolonged this disadvantage 
can prove fatal.

Blinded by Sunlight:

	This disadvantage causes the player to be unable to see in sunlit 
locations.  Darkness items or magic can overcome this disadvantage.

Hurt by Water:

	Certain races suffer damage to their being when exposed 
to waterfor more than a short duration.  if the player is low 
on hit points, or the duration is prolonged this disadvantage 
can prove fatal.

Cannot Eat Normal Food:

	This disadvantage causes the player to be unable to consume 
regular food.  However, the player must still find sustenance.  This 
sustenance usually comes in a different form, and is obtained likely 
through a special power.  Vampires who must suck blood are a typical 
example of this.

Extra Damage From a Particular Damage Type:

	With this disadvantage the player is particularily vulnerable 
to the specified damage type.  Only through experience will the player 
learn which monsters or spells to avoid.

Agoraphobia:

	This disadvantage causes the player to suffer a penalty to skills
and spells in large locations.  The player is uncomfortable and lacks 
confidence in these environs.

Claustrophobia:

	This disadvantage causes the player to suffer a penalty to skills
and spells in small confined locations.  The player is uncomfortable and 
lacks confidence in these environs.
	
Hydrophobia:

	This disadvantage causes the player to suffer a penalty to skills
and spells in areas with significant amounts of water.  The player is 
uncomfortable and lacks confidence in these environs.

Ravenous Eater:

	This disadvantage causes the player to require twice as much
food intake as normal.  

Regen Only In Light/Darkness:

	This disadvantage indicates the player can only recover lost
hit points, spell points, and endurance points in locations of
light or darkness ( depending on the disadvantage ).


Depression:

	This race suffers from occasional depression, during
which regeneration and spells and skills drop to 0.  There are
methods to cure the depression, to which the player must
discover.
	
Unlucky:

      This race suffers from bad luck. When luck is determined
each day, their luck can never end up as high as is possible
for races without this trait.
