Gaia

BELIEFS: Gaia, the Earth-Mother, is the essence of life, of motherhood,
of birth, and of the forces of the land. She is said to be the progenitor
of all things, although her embodiment as a 'she' is a term applied by
uncomprehending males. Gaia is all things wild, and her
wrath can be seen in torandoes, earthquakes, tidal waves, and forest
fires. She is believed to be part of the slumbering Great Old Ones who
have yet to fully awaken. Her elemental wrath is felt only peripherally
by her Druids. The full force of her awakened nature could obliterate
planets.

WORSHIPPERS: Druids venerate Gaia and all her incarnations. She is,
they believe, the essence of life itself. They are not environmentalists
or animists however -- Mother Nature, as she is sometimes referred to,
is a force that can is used equally for noble and petty tasks.

PRIMARY PLANET: Gaia's strongest center of worship is Sosel. Some
whisper she IS Sosel.

AVATAR: Gaia's avatar is sometimes rumored to be Ikara, but none know
for sure. She has never seen fit to involve herself in the going's on
of daily life. They know her presence, however, whenever they call upon
her destructive force.
