Player-killing

RetroMUD is not a PK-MUD. Generally speaking, if you are wondering if it
is legal to kill another player, for any reason, the answer is no. Any
issues you have with another player that can't be resolved by talking to
another player or using the ignore command are best handled by contacting a
member of the sentinel guild, and politely asking their assistance in
resolving the issue.

The following situations are the only times when attacking another player
is allowed:

From time to time, a special "war" event takes place (help war), allowing
players to join, entering a special area specifically dedicated to player
killing. There are arenas dedicated to party vs. party combat and capture
the flag. Obviously, player killing is allowed in these situations.

From time to time, a player wishing to reincarnate (help reincarnation)
will ask another player to kill them so they may do so. This is allowed,
but it's generally a good idea to keep a log of things to ensure there are
no misunderstandings.

The contracts generated by the evil resurrection spell (help spell evil
resurrection) can be used in a number of ways which may lead to the revived
player dying in the cultist's place. Such usage is legal, but still
considered rather rude.

Finally, before reporting players for attacking you, make sure you are
familiar with the concept of clones (help clone). The corpses of players
will, from time to time, rise from the dead and attack anyone in the area,
shouting such things as "I'll PK you and get away with it!" Make sure your
assailant can't be targeted as "clone" before seeking assistance.
