Guild positions

There are three positions that can be held by guildmembers.

The first of these is the Guild Mentor.
The Guild Mentor is a level 20 primary member of the guild
who has been voted upon by fellow guild members. The Guild
Mentor has the ability to immediately return to their guild,
and can check the skills and spells of fellow guild members
via the 'guildmentor' command.
Voting for Mentor happens as follows:
Anyone that is a primary guild member of a guild, and is
under level 20 can vote on any other primary guild member
that is level 20 in that guild to be mentor once per cycle.
At the end of that guild voting period all the votes are
totaled, and whoever has the highest number of votes
becomes Mentor for the next period. The position does not
carry over to the next period. If there are no votes in a
particular election for Mentor, then there will be no Mentor
for that guild during the next period. If a person is the
current Mentor for a guild, and that person reincarnates,
whoever was the runner up in the last election will become
the Mentor until the next election.

Next is the Guild Leader.
The Guild leader is a level 20 primary member of the guild.
This person is responsible for the care and well being of
the guild. They are the ones that other guild members should
go to with a problem in the guild, and are the people who
act as a go-between between the wizstaff and the rest of the
guild when it becomes necessary to talk about changes or
problems with that guild. They are also the people
who should be maintaining the guilds message board: remove
old messages, reading it regularly, etc.
The Guild Leader has the ability to immediately return to
their guild, a bonus to some stats, and the ability to view
the skills and spells of fellow guild members via the 'leader'
command.
The leader is elected into office by indicating they would
like the position and running for leader. Once a person has
placed themselves in the running for leader, fellow primary
guild members can vote for that person to help them gain
leadership. Neither the person running, nor the person
voting lose any dues in this process.
 Voting works as follows:
The person desiring to become leader places themselves
into the running in their guilds leader room. Once this
happens, any other primary guild member in that guild goes
to their leader room and 'votes' for that person. The
amount of votes you cast for that person is equal to the
amount of dues you have,* and can only be cast against
one person during an election cycle. At the end of the
election cycle, which ever candidate has the most votes
becomes leader. If there is a current leader in a guild,
they are assumed to be in the running with whatever their
dues were at the time they took office. If a particular
Leader decides they do not wish to be leader during a
term, they can goto their leader room and 'abdicate' from
the position for that term. They can still enter into
the running at a later time.

* There are certain exceptions:
For Fallen, power points are used instead of dues, as are
honor points for paladins and patron points for cultists.
Rangers use hunter ranks in addition to dues and assassins
also use assassination ranks in addition to dues. Bards use
exploration percentage and level quests completed only. They
do not use dues or bard points. All other guilds use only
the unmodified number of dues to determine leadership
voting weight.

Finally there is the Guild Champion.
This is the most powerful member of the guild. The Guild
Champion is a level 20 primary guild member who, through
experience, trials, and various tests has earned the respect
of their guild. The Champion gains bonuses to some of their
stats, as well as a special Champion power. The power
could range from never dropping weapons in combat, to increased
healing from spells, as well as use of the 'champion' command.
The winner is determined by the sum of a players experience in
skills, spells, levels, dues, graduated apprentices, and RP points.
If the player is competing for championship of the ranger or
assassin guilds, their hunter or assassin ranks (respectively)
will also be taken into account.

A person may be both Champion and Mentor, or Champion and Leader
of a guild, but they may not be both Leader and Mentor.
