Numbers

Numbers that have only one or two words are spelled out when they
begin or are part of a sentence.

    Examples
"Two masked men entered the bank."
    "He bought five apples."
"Seventy-six trombones led the big parade."

Years may be written in sentences with numerals instead of words, and
do not require commas to separate groups of three numerals.

    Example
"In what year did the War of 1812 take place?"

Separate sets of numbers written together must alternate between
    numerals and words.

    Example
"She ran in four 100-meter dashes."

Long numbers don't have to be written out in words.

    Example
"There were 467,821 people at the theme park this week."
