Power points

What are power points?

A large portion of the Fallen guild is revolved around power
points. Power points are the energy or power a soul has. In essence, drain
the body, then the soul.

What are power points used for?

The Fellblade requires these points to survive. It thrives off them, feeds
off them, it needs them for optimal performance. Many spells within the
Fallen guild require power points in order for you to cast, and once cast,
the Blade uses the points to power the spell. Every time your Fellblade's
special goes off, one power point is used up as well. Power points are
needed in order to help your Blade grow. They are required to raise its
weapon class, nonphys, skills, stats, special, hit and damage bonus, and
holy resistance. In order to raise these wonderful aspects of the Blade,
you must first aquire the appropriate power points. The list of
calculations pertaining to the amount of power points required can be seen
by typing Blade help. You can also see the current standings of your Blade
by typing Blade status.

The Blade and You

Your Fellblade will not reset back to wc 10 and 0 nonphys after you quit
out. The Blade does not require storage as it loads with your character.
Its spent points are permanent unless you reincarnate (see help spell
reincarnation), even in which you
are able to 'repent' within the guild hall to gain back some of the power
points that were lost with the reincarnation.

How do I get these power points?

To gain pps, you must slay. You must be in front row, and/or have hit the
target with either your Blade or a spell. If there are several targets,
one can invoke a wave spell, and still collect the points, as long as they
are in the front row, and have succesfully casted the spell within the same
run the mob dies. Once the prey has been slaughtered, you will type
insert, which will feed the Blade the remaining powers of the soul of the
slain. Generally, the higher the level of the creature, the more power
points obtained, though some creatures give less, such as animals, fish and
plants, which
only give half, or none at all, such as mechanical races. Player corpses
do not feed the Blade, as the soul is resurrected and lives on, therefor
the corpse is merely an empty husk.
