Taxes are a necessary evil of the Retroverse which keep various
    bureaucracies, local political powers, and services of the retroverse
    in business.
    
    There are two major avenues of taxation:
    
    City Taxes - Cities tax individuals entering its gates according to
    the individual's power (level), though nobility and incredibly
    charismatic individuals are often times exempt from these taxes, as
    are characters under level 20.  City taxes are calculated as level
    squared, divided by 10.
    
    Bank Fees - Anytime a transaction is made, the banks of the retroverse
    charge a small (50gp) fee for handling expenses.  This fee can be
    largely mitigated using the tax evasion skill, and characters under
    level 19 are exempt.
