Newbies are immune to the curses, but gain the blessings if possible. By Homeworld: One of the 6 worlds bestows blessings upon all races native to it. No races are given penalties. Newbies gain full blessing benefits. Bunnies Abound! --------------- Bunnies pop up all over the Newbie Areas. The decorated eggs are highly sought after, and one egg on each world has an extra special prize! Carnivorous Pumpkins -------------------- The patches are no longer quiescent! Carnivorous pumpkins appear in areas on Perdow. Castle Pests ------------ Different monsters invade any castle on a planet, attacking anything inside! Clones ------ When this event starts, any player on the planet the event is on will be cloned, and attacked! Drinks On The House ------------------- It's a grand night out, and Genevieve sends everyone a free drink on the house! Dire Invasion ------------- Dire critters invade the Templar and Paladin guildhalls! Eclipse ------- Shaithis blocks the view of the sun on Welstar! Elemental Drought ----------------- One element hits a drought, lowering the balance for it to 50%. Elemental Surge --------------- One element surges in strength, raising the balance for it to 130%. Explore Perdow/Welstar/Raji/Crypt/Wyoom/Sosel --------------------------------------------- This event will be active on one world. While this event is active all level locks on that world are disabled. When the event ends the timer and other restrictions on the 'home' command are ignored so that you can escape if you are trapped by the level locks being enforced again. Gingerbread Men --------------- Ishtar has decided to bestow the Retroverse with tasty treats. . . if you can catch them! The gingerbread men run faster and faster the fewer there are of them remaining. Goblin Raiders -------------- Goblins ravage Scarrowfell, igniting anything they see for fun and sport! Gogira ------ Gogira comes to a random planet to stomp on castles, lay eggs, and wreak havoc. Headless Horseman ----------------- Clip. Clop. Clip. Clop. Clip. Clop. They start ravaging the city. Kizanki Psionic Purge --------------------- The Kizanki have come to Suthnas to destroy and plunder! Ladies' Night Out ----------------- Genevieve throws a sleep-over. They hit the clubs for Ladies' Night Out, before settling in. Every female gets a free drink! Meteor Shower ------------- Meteroites fall from the skies on a random planet! The meteorites are all valid minerals and rocks making this event an alchemist's dream! Mnemo Comet ----------- A strange Comet appears in the Retroverse, temporarily suppressing some forms of long-term memory, such as monsters recognizing slayers, and memorized locations. Sikkarmas Cards --------------- The wizard staff sends seasons greetings to each player. Only one card per character. The event will run all boot, so if you log in late, just hang around, and a card will be delivered to you eventually. Sing-a-long ----------- Join the bards of the Retroverse as they unite in a random song and fill the Retroverse with music! Solar Flares ------------ The Sun flares up, making it extremely bright on a planet. Squiggle Invasion ----------------- Invisible squiggles invade Scarrowfell. They like to poke holes in things. Travelling Seer ---------- An itinerant fortune teller appears in Scotland briefly. She can tell your fortune for a price in gold. If your future looks bright, you will benefit from a single escape death, until you quit the Retroverse. Treasure Hunt ---------------- An old pirate of the Raji skies has buried a treasure in a mound of enchanted dirt. The Pirate will give a hint to where the treasure is, but being magical, the treasure may be buried anywhere. Good luck, all ye treasure hunters. Twister ------- Raji is plagued by a horrible twister, throwing anything in its way somewhere random! Undead Revenge -------------- Corpses rise faster than normal during this event. Uruk Invasion ------------- Legions of Uruks invade Gydnia! War of Alignments ----------------- This is the eternal battle between Sikkar and the Nameless One. In this War, there are 4 turns of fortune: Evil surges, Good surges, both surge, or a truce is called. When any of these occurs, the standard alignment damage balance is overridden by the power of the gods. A surge results in a 50% boost in that aligned damage. A truce means both Holy and Unholy do only the amount stated, with no changes from the alignment balance shifts. Wet Newbies ----------- If they're wet behind the ears, they may be wet all over! When magically soaked by the gods, those so made wet, gain 10% fire resistance! | |
