This is a general informational help on your options after death and the penalties you accrue. When you die, you immediately get a 15% penalty to future experience gains in the same area. This penalty applies to you and all members of your party. Having a resser in your party who is either in the room when you die, in the same domain, or recently died will reduce this by up to 5%. If the resser has training in lazari or porta dominatus (resser tert skills) this may reduce the penalty by up to another 5%. Those with the training always apply the modification to their own deaths. How you return to life may apply further penalties. The penalty lasts until boot. You can pray. You can only use this command in one of the temples in the Judgement Fields (Newbies can pray anywhere). If you pray, you receive an additional 35% penalty. You can accept a resurrection or an evil resurrection. You can only accept these options in their respective temples in the Judgement Fields (Newbies can accept anywhere). Resurrection applies an additional 20% penalty, but three factors can reduce this: 1. Alignment If you are neutral or of the same alignment as the caster performing the resurrection, the penalty is reduced by 10%. 2. Party membership If the caster performing the resurrection was in your party when you died, the penalty is reduced by 10%. 3. Pathing If the caster has training in the lazari or porta dominatus skills, the penalty is reduced by up to 10%, based on their training. No penalty is applied if the reductions would reduce it below 0%. Resurrection spells cannot undo the initial penalty of dying. Ressers always apply the effects of their own training to their deaths, even when not in a party. If a resser prays, they get the same benefits as if they had performed the ress on themselves. To view your current penalties, type "show penalties". BE WARNED: If your exp penalty or that of a party member reaches 100% in a given area, you will be unable to deal damage to any mobs in that area! At that point, you are considered to have been defeated by the area and should move on to another area for that boot. Explore count is still recorded at this point, but you receive no exp from those rooms.
