The world channels are special, in-character channels set aside
for use in roleplaying.  There is a separate channel for each 
world, and you must be on that world in order to use
the channel.  Once each channel has been turned on, however,
it may be listened to from anywhere.  If you're unsure which 
world you are on, the 'world' command can be used in place 
of the specific channel name.  Remember: World channels are
strictly IC only!

From an IC standpoint, world channels represent the psychic 
echoes of the world, by which Gifted Ones are aware of major 
events on that world and through which they can communicate with 
nearby Gifted Ones (in a manner similar to tells). Often, but not 
exculsively, this is done to discuss or comment on those events, 
but it may just as often be used socially or making public 
declarations or announcements.
