Portal

Retromud has purchased a mud license for the mud client Portal.
http://www.gameaxle.com to download it.

What does this mean for me as a player?

When you connect to our mud Portal will be in essence a fully
licensed version of the client. Just as if you had paid for
client yourself. It will not be registered with other muds
unless they paid for the license as well.

What Features of Portal has Retromud implemented?

   - hpbar1 - Here you can see your hp, sp, and ep. These
numbers will update every round if you are in combat,
and instantly if you use a spell/skill that alters
them and you are not in combat. To toggle this on
or off you must use the 'sc' command

The fourth graphic on hpbar1 is empty _unless_ you
are in a party. If you are in a party you may use
the command 'party watch '. After
issuing this command, ever combat round the mud
will send that party members hp, sp, or ep to your
4th graphic on that line. This is extremely useful
in parties, and removes the need for your tank to
report every round or whatever else they do.

   - hpbar2 - Is the same as hpbar1 except it shows your hp/sp/ep
graphically instead of as the actual numbers.

There are other features we may add in with time. If you have any
suggestions let us know. Some other features in Portal which could
be added are using the chat and tell monitors for channels/tells,
multimedia enhancements (sounds/avi/graphics), and many other
 things.
