Selecting a Terminal

After entering the info, some text will scroll about. Read everything you see. It gives important notes and details that you'll need to know.

At this point you've enter a 'administrative room'. If your MUD Client (Program that connects you to the MUD) supports ANSI, type 'term ansi'. Now any futher text on your screen should be in color (a nice feature I should say). If your screen is not in color then type 'term network', that way you won't get any strange code on your screen. Okie, when you type 'l', short for the 'look' command you'll see a room discription and one exit called 'enter'. You won't be able to enter the game yet however. First you must read through a series of important documents which state the rules and policies of RetroMUD. Failure to follow some of these rules and/or policies can result in your character being removed from the MUD. Type 'l sign'. There will be further instructions there. If you wish to review these documents again, they are readily available within the Help section of this web site.
