This is the cheapest and most common form of plate armor on Welstar. Instead of attempting to articulate the joints and provide complete protection, portions of this armor are simply protected with chain mail. This form of armor is nothing more than an expanded suit of mail and plate, and the forerunner of true plate armor. Although full plate armor offers more protection, plate mail is still common amongst poorer paladins and fighters.
